This page contains a list of all unique item tiers for the purposes of chancing/ancient orbing items. Testing is done via large quantities of Ancient Orbs.

If an item is determined to drop as Unique rarity, it will then select an eligible Unique Rarity Tier. Colloquially we call these Tiers "T5" (worst, e.g. Wurm's MoltWurm's Molt

). Once an eligible Tier is selected, next up is the selection of an eligible member within that Tier. (Items might be ineligible because they are restricted, e.g. by Level Requirement.)[1]

An individual Unique Item's occurrence rate depends on how many other eligible Unique Items exist in its Tier.[2]

At least three different Tier Weight distribution schemes exist, probably more: RegularValue, MoreValuable, and Gwennen. The RegularValue distribution is used for natural drops (e.g. from Monsters or chests) and certain "weak" sources of items like Jack in the Box. The MoreValuable distribution is for items like Ancient Orbs, which have a player-favourable bias towards better-Tier Unique Items. Gwennen's distribution is special and even more biased towards great items.[3]

For the purposes of some mechanics such as Tainted Mythic OrbTainted Mythic OrbStack Size: 20Unpredictably either upgrades a corrupted item to unique rarity or destroys itRight click this item then left click a corrupted item to apply it. Cannot apply to Maps.s, Tier 4 and worse are bundled together; but they still have their own individual and separate Tier weights.[4]
