Phasing or a travel/blink skill is recommended to move through created objects such as frost walls.
The Ambushes monster modifier, previously known as Shroud Walker, is usually considered a detrimental modifier by most players due to its unpredictable teleporting of the character into potentially dangerous or undesirable locations near monsters and may contribute to accidental deaths. The only methods to remove it are to unequip Headhunter (thus removing all current Headhunter buff stacks) or by letting the buff expire. It is unofficially considered to be a feature/quirk of Headhunter that "balances" the unique through Shroud Walker's various iterations since the item's release[5].

Using the /convertracerewardchat command, this item can be transformed into a helmet skin, Alternate Art HeadhunterAlternate Art HeadhunterBelt Skin. Be aware that the skin cannot be traded to other players or turned back into the original item.
Alternate-art Unique Items can now be converted to account-bound microtransactions using the new /convertracereward chat command. The item will be destroyed, and you will be granted an account-bound microtransaction that changes the appearance of an item of the same type to match that of the destroyed item.
The Headhunter Unique Belt now has "When you Kill a Rare Monster, you gain its Modifiers for 60 seconds" (previously 20 seconds).
The above changes affect existing versions
We have done a lot of work on reducing the memory usage of rare monster modifiers so that a greater variety can be present in each area. This means that the number of different mods that Headhunter items can steal is a lot higher than before.
Archnemesis modifiers have been rebalanced and added to the core game. Existing Magic and Rare monster modifiers have been replaced with Archnemesis modifiers.
Bloodlines and Nemesis have been removed from the core game. Some of their modifiers have been incorporated into the new monster modifier system (Read version 3.18.0 § Bloodlines and Nemesis Removal for details)

Players once again gain the Mods of indirectly killed rare monsters while using the Headhunter or Inspired Learning uniques. This fixes an unintentional change to this mechanic in the 2.1.0 patch.
