Mechanics

+40% to maximum effect of shock is an additive Modifier that increases Shock's Maximum possible effect from the default of 50% Increased Damage Taken to 90% Increased Damage Taken and stacks with other sources of +X% to maximum effect of shock. It is different to X% increased Effect of Shock which effectively reduces the amount of damage needed to apply both a minimum and a maximum shock.
