Poison inflicted by this effect is unaffected by your damage modifiers, and instead copies the DPS of the strongest poison debuff on the killed enemy.[1]
This poison has a base 2 second duration, affected by global poison duration modifiers, but not by duration from support gems.[1] The duration is also not affected by Poisons you inflict deal Damage % faster, as this stat already affected the base DPS and duration of the original poison; it does not apply a second time.
Enemies are poisoned within a 1.5 meter radius of the killed enemy.[2] This does not scale with the player's area of effect.[3]
This effect does not stack with the more conditional modifier on Master Toxicist.
Because poison always credits the player with kills, this effect will work with kills by poison from proxies or minions.
This effect is inconsistently prevented by enemy-destroying effects. The Bino's Kitchen Knife Unique Dagger no longer has 30% increased Damage over Time.
It now has "Adds 140-155 to 210-235 Physical Damage" (previously 50-60 to 120-140). Existing versions of this Unique can be updated using a Divine Orb.
Several Daggers are now classified as Rune Daggers. Daggers can no longer roll caster-related modifiers, while Rune Daggers retain their old mod generation behaviour.
The life regeneration stat on Bino's Kitchen Knife has been changed to a flat value of 200 life regenerated per second.
All sources of increased Critical Strike Multiplier have been changed to additional Critical Strike Multiplier. This change brings the functionality in line with how most players think it works.
Because of this, all items, passives and some skills/support gems that used to have increased Critical Strike Multiplier are now 33% less effective on players, despite having the same value. A number of these have been adjusted in value to maintain similar effectiveness.
