Fenumal Plagued Arachnid, also known as FPA or split beast, is a type of beast that can be used to "split" rare items into two. It always appears and captures as a red beast and as a rare monster. Using this beast on items is typically called "beast splitting" an item.

It works in a somewhat similar fashion as Fractured FossilFractured FossilStack Size: 10Creates a split copy
Cannot be used to split Influenced,

Monster skills

The monster summons Fenumal Pus Arachnid and Fenumal Virulent Arachnid.

Usage

Using a Fenumal Plagued Arachnid to split an item will result in the Split tag being added to both items, preventing you from making further copies of either item, unless a Mirror of KalandraMirror of KalandraStack Size: 10Creates a mirrored copy of an itemRight click this item then left click an equipable non-unique item to apply it. Beastcrafting Recipe: Split an Item Into Two, With Half the Mods on Each Item

Since version 3.14.0, beast splitting an item adds the "Split" tag to both items (similar to "Mirrored" tag), which prevents the items from being split again.

Mechanics

  • Splitting a rare item into two can turn one or both copies into a magic item depending on the remaining mod count. The resulting items keep the quality, number of sockets, colour of the sockets and socket links of the original item.
  • Does not work on influenced items, fractured items, synthesised items, unique items, MirroredMirror of KalandraStack Size: 10Creates a mirrored copy of an itemRight click this item then left click an equipable non-unique item to apply it. Mirrored copies cannot be modified. items, corrupted items (including Breach RingBreach RingProperties are doubled while in a BreachCorrupted, Talismans, etc), or items with enchantments, and since version 3.14.0, items with the Split modifier.
    • For example, Shaper/Elder-influenced Stygian ViseStygian ViseHas 1 Abyssal Socket is one of the few basetypes that cannot be duplicated.
  • Items with legacy implicit mod can be used.
    • For example, certain basetypes that have the implicit mod replaced, such as Assassin BowAssassin BowBow
      Physical Damage: 43-130
      Critical Strike Chance: 6.70%
      Attacks per Second: 1.25

      Physical Damage: 30-50
      Critical Strike Chance: 5.00%

      Weapon Range: 1.3 metres
Requires Level 27, 45 Str, 54 Dex+185 to Accuracy Rating
      , etc. can be used.
  • Since version 3.14.0, ImprintImprintRestores an imprinted item onto the original
Can't be applied to Fractured Items
Right click this item then left click on the imprinted original item to restore its modifiers. An imprint cannot be dropped or traded to other players.

The imprint can't be applied to Fractured Items
Right click this item then left click on an item to create an imprint. This imprint can later be used to restore this specific item to that imprinted state.
cannot be used to revert a Split item to a state without the Split tag. An item that has the Split tag can still be imprinted and restored to a state it existed in after gaining the Split tag.
    • Thus, despite the beastcrafting recipe working with Incursion mods, Delve mods (both fossil craft or drop only) Warband mods or legacy explicit mods (non-influenced only), etc, such mods cannot be restored on the "master" item via Imprint since version 3.14.0, effectively ending the method to duplicate the modifier. Item acquisition

According to a datamined list, the minimum Map level required to capture a Fenumal Plagued Arachnid was map Level 70 (during Bestiary league).[1]
