Melee Splash does not work with melee skills that already have an area of effect, such as {{sl|Ground Slam}} and {{sl|Cleave}}. {{sl|Infernal Blow}} has the "[[AoE]]" gem tag for its explosion effect, but the primary hit is still single-target and ''will'' benefit from Melee Splash. {{sl|Whirling Blades}}, although being a melee skill and not having an AoE, is not compatible with Melee Splash.
Melee Splash only supports [[strike]] skills and has no interaction with other types of skills like [[slam]] skills. It causes the skill to deal damage around the strike target in a greater area than strike skill's default splashing behaviour.
Skills supported by Melee Splash receive the AoE [[gem tag]]. Stat modifiers from any source which would apply to an AoE skill will also apply to the AoE component of Melee Splash. These mods include:

Melee Splash Support is a support gem that can be linked with a meleestrikeskill gem to add a splash effect to the attack, dealing damage around each enemy struck by it.
Melee Splash only supports strike skills and has no interaction with other types of skills like slam skills. It causes the skill to deal damage around the strike target in a greater area than strike skill's default splashing behaviour.
