Marks are a type of spell skill. They are a subset of curse skills that target single units. Only one Mark can be affecting a target under any circumstance.

Mechanics

Each character can only place a Mark on one target at any time. This limit is shared between all Mark skills. If you applied a Mark on an enemy and then apply any Mark skill again, the previous Mark will expire. Moving a great distance away from the Marked target will also expire the Mark.

Marks are considered a curse and and share the curse limit with Hexes. Applying a Hex curse to a Marked target will expire the Mark, and vice versa, unless you have have increased your curse limit. Increased curse limit will still not allow you to place more than one Mark skill on an enemy.
