Item Rarity Support is a support gem that increases the rarity of items dropped by monsters killed using the supported skill.

Skill functions and interactions

Since patch 1.0.6, the Rarity bonus from this gem applies to enemies killed by damage over time effects.

The degeneration effect that was first applied to the monster is responsible for its death. So, if Item Rarity is used with multiple sources of DOT (like Essence DrainEssence DrainSpell, Projectile, Duration, Chaos, AoE
