Design attribution
The Hook was commissioned by supporter lowkeyripper and designed by the Path of Exile community through a series of polls.[1][2][3][4][5] From these polls, it was decided that the outcome of turning in a set of the Hook should be a random unique watchstone.
With the removal of watchstones from Path of Exile in the Siege of the Atlas expansion, the Community Team at Grinding Gear Games took suggestions for a new redemption outcome, then polled the community using a selection of handpicked suggestions.[6][7][8]

From version 3.17.0 until version 3.23.0, a set of the Hook could be turned in for a random corrupted level 21 gem with 23% alternate quality.
Prior to version 3.17.0, a set could be exchanged for a random unique watchstone.
