Unlike the original skill, this transfigured version has a higher reservation and lower damage, damage effectiveness, and critical strike chance; instead, it provides a significantly stronger aura against enemies. Gem quality increased mine aura effect instead.
Skill functions and interactions
The innate aura effect of this skill (Each Mine applies 40% increased Critical Strike Chance to Hits against Enemies near it, up to a maximum of 500%) has a base radius distance of 35 units and are scaled by modifiers to area, including those specific to auras.[1] Increased aura effect will improve the bonus per mine near an enemy, but will not affect the maximum bonus.
By not detonating the mine and instead letting it remain armed for the entire duration, it can be used to provide a large critical strike chance bonus for the player and allies. The Mine Mastery that grants Mines cannot be Damaged is recommended for this purpose.
