Minimap is Revealed

The Necropolis is an area. This area has a waypoint, a Stash, and a Necropolis Locker. It can be accessed after you have a corpse with Unresolved Anguish collected by Undertaker Arimor for the first time. You can use the corpses stored here to craft items.

The northeast side of the map contains the Necropolis Morgue, which displays some of the corpses you've collected. Interacting with Arimor either after collecting a corpse or at the Necropolis allows access to the Necropolis Morgue interface, allowing players to itemize collectable corpses into Filled CoffinFilled CoffinMonster: <monster type>

s, or cremating corpses (permanently destroying them). Holding CTRL while clicking the cremate button will bypass the warning prompt.

Collectable corpses

A collectable corpse is a non-itemized corpse of a monster that is obtainable from monsters with Unresolved Anguish (grey particle effect around monster) during Necropolis league. Collectable corpses cannot be destroyed like regular corpses.

Once one drops in an area, it can be collected by Undertaker Arimor to be added to the Necropolis Morgue, or directly itemized into a Filled CoffinFilled CoffinMonster: <monster type>

. Inside the Necropolis, they can be buried into one of 88 Necropolis Graves to influence the results of grave crafts. Once buried, collectable corpses must be used to grave craft or be permanently destroyed; they cannot be retrieved.

Unique corpses

Rarely, collectable corpses may be haunted by the spirit of a member of one of five notable families of the Eternal Empire. These corpses are used to craft exclusive Unique items by burying corpses with four different names from the same family. These items can also be affected by other corpses such as to increase their item level, corrupt them, or create duplicate copies. The Perandus PactThe Perandus Pact

adds a collectable corpse to the Necropolis Morgue for grave crafting. The morgue can store up to 64 corpses at a time.

The area contains 88 graves where you can bury corpses. Burying a corpse adds a crafting modifier attached to the monster to a mod pool. Clicking on the "Craft" button in a buried grave brings up the Tome of Arimor, which lists the cumulative total of modifiers used for the grave craft. Each corpses must be directly adjacent to another corpse in the same row or column to affect the craft; diagonals do not count.

All corpses connected to the selected corpse will be used for crafting. Within the Tome of Arimor, the player may choose a specific non-drop-restricted weapon, armour, or jewelry base type with a level requirement equal to or below the grave craft's item level.

By default, the Tome of Arimor will create a Rare item with 4 explicit modifiers. The resulting item's item level will be the average level of all connected corpses plus an undetermined number, up to the highest level corpse used. The resulting item's item level can further be increased with corpses that add +1 to the item level, up to item level 86.

You may choose to unbury a corpse, but this will permanently destroy the corpse.

List of Haunted modifiers

Certain corpses can cause the item to have a special Haunted explicit modifier.

Version history

Version Changes
3.24.1
  • Implicit modifiers on Base Types are now displayed on item hovers when selecting a Base Type to create with Grave-crafts.
  • The Grave-crafting modifier that causes the crafted Item to be Corrupted, providing 50% increased chance for Corruption Implicit modifiers, can no longer reroll the crafted item.
3.24.0b
  • Added the ability to itemise corpses as they drop, and through the Morgue User Interface. Itemising corpses is now free in all contexts, as opposed to the 1 Chaos OrbChaos OrbStack Size: 20Reforges a rare item with new random modifiersRight click this item then left click a rare item to apply it. cost this previously had. As a result, Undertaker Arimor no longer has Empty CoffinsEmpty CoffinStack Size: 10Stores a Corpse in an itemRight click on this item then left click on a Corpse in the Necropolis Morgue. available for purchase.
  • Added the ability to select the Base Type when crafting an item. As such, some of the crafts that allow you to influence Strength, Dexterity, or Intelligence armour types have been removed, as they are no longer necessary. Special Base Types such as Atlas Base Types and League Base Types like Stygian Vise still need to be obtained through certain Corpses.
  • Grave-crafts that affect Modifier Rating have been compressed into a single craft, +50 to Modifier Tier Rating, which affects all Modifiers instead of being type-specific. This only applies to new crafts obtained after the patch is deployed, this does not affect any existing crafts.
  • Tiers have been removed from most Grave-crafts, they'll now have the values of the existing highest tier. For example, instead of being able to get 200% or 500% increased chance for Lightning Modifiers, it will now always be 500%.
  • We've also buffed the following Grave-crafts:
    • Reforge socket numbers 200 times, keeping the greatest number of sockets (previously 100).
    • Reforge links numbers 200 times, keeping the greatest number of links (previously 50).
    • 20% chance to craft an additional Item (previously 10%).
    • 25% chance to create a Split Copy (previously 20%).
    • 25% chance to create a Mirrored Copy (previously 20%).
  • The Morgue User Interface is now sorted by type of craft, then by level, making it much easier to find crafts that affect a specific type of modifier.
  • Your inventory is no longer closed upon viewing the Morgue User Interface.
  • Pressing Ctrl + F when viewing the Morgue will now focus the Filter Corpses text field.
  • Grave-crafted items now drop closer to the headstone of the relevant grave. Grave-crafted items also now have target priority over graves when using Controller Input Mode.
  • You can now Ctrl + Click to cremate a corpse, skipping the confirmation prompt, in the Morgue User Interface. This was already possible on corpses lying in the Morgue, and is now detailed in both places.
  • The UI for collecting a Corpse is now less likely to overlap with another available Corpse.
