Domain of Timeless Conflict

For the Legion atlas keystone, see Timeless Conflict.

The Domain of Timeless Conflict is only accessible by using Emblems in a map device.

To open the area, you must use at least two different emblems with no duplicates. The number of emblems used affects the level of this area, and the duration of the encounter.

Mechanics

The zone contains a crater with a monolith in the centre. Standing near it will spawn all enemies and start a countdown of 15 seconds plus 1 minute for each emblem used. Returning to the monolith during the battle will respawn half the killed enemies, though boss spawns are limited by a cooldown. When the countdown reaches zero, the encounter ends, and rewards will drop around the monolith. Item drop rate decays as more enemies are killed.

The area level of this zone depends on the Emblems used to generate it. The area has a baseline of area level 80 and increases to 81 with 4 Emblems used, and to 82 with 5 Emblems used. Additionally, the zone level increases by 1 per 2 Unrelenting Emblem used. The maximum area level is 84, which requires all 5 Emblems with 4 of them being Unrelenting Emblems.

Prior to patch 3.24.0, completing the Domain of Timeless Conflict with any four factions for the first time unlocked the fifth slot for the map device. Additional slots are now unlocked by completing any tier 17 map and Maven's Invitation: The Atlas.

Ruthless mode

In Ruthless mode, the Domain of Timeless Conflict encounter no longer has a tracker for Reward Icons. Instead, it has a Timeless Jewel tracker that fills up while killing monsters and bosses which may guarantee Timeless Jewels [guesswork?]. Timeless Jewel drops still appear to be tied to bosses. No longer drops Incubators.[1]

Version history

Version Changes
3.24.0
  • The fifth map device slot is now unlocked by completing any tier 17 map instead of 4-way Domain of Timeless Conflict.
3.22.0
  • The Domain of Timeless Conflict now has a minimum area level of 80. Specific Timeless Emblems and Unrelenting Timeless Emblems no longer provide additional area levels.
  • Additional area levels are now added based on the number of Emblems used. 4 Emblems increases the area level by 1, and 5 Emblems increases it by 2.
  • Each Unrelenting Timeless Emblem increases the area level by 0.5 area level (rounding down). Meaning with 5 emblems the maximum area level is 84.
  • The 20% increased Experience gain for each Timeless Emblem has been removed.
  • Each Unrelenting Timeless Emblems now adds 10% increased Experience Gain (previously 20%), and this is now stated on the item tooltip.
  • Each Timeless Emblem and Unrelenting Timeless Emblem now adds 15% more Monster Life (previously 10%), and now also adds 10% increased Monster Damage.
3.8.0
  • Item rewards within the Domain of Timeless Conflict now diminish over time. Experience does not change.

3.7.5c
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Domain of Timeless Conflict encounter from beginning in non-Legion leagues.
3.7.0
  • Introduced to the game.
