The Coast is an area in Act 1. This area has a waypoint and is connected to Lioneye's Watch, The Tidal Island, and The Mud Flats.

Players fight from the Lioneye's Watch entrance on the left side of the map to the Mud Flats exit on the right or bottom. The Tidal Island is in the water near near the Mud Flats. The hills contain cannibals and spitters, while the beaches are filled with zombies.

Version history

Version Changes
  • We have rebalanced various monsters found throughout Act One to make them more dangerous. Note, the balance changes made to Act One Bosses and monsters also apply to their Endgame Map versions.
  • Monster life has been increased by roughly 46% at level 1, tapering down to the same amount of life at level 84. Some bosses and monsters in Act 1, such as Hillock and Oozeback have had their life reduced to partially counteract this change.
  • For full changes. Read Version 3.15.0 § Act 1 Changes
  • Improved the early-game experience. Fights in the first three Acts will be tougher but more responsive, involved and dynamic. This includes fights against basic monsters!
  • Cannibal Fire-eater has been added to The Coast. This monster breathes fire.
  • The Waypoint in The Mud Flats has been moved to The Coast.
  • Zone levels changed from 2/35/52 to 2/40/56 due to 2.0 zone progression balancing.
  • Some world areas have been renamed.
  • The Coast (formerly The Terraces) now has new types of chests.
  • Added six new monster types, three of which are exclusive to the new areas. The other three appear in previous areas also, such as the Cannibals who have replaced the Scavengers in early Act One.
  • Weathered Stones that describe elements of Karui history have been added to many Act One areas: the The Terraces, Tidal Island, Mud Flats, Ledge, Rocky Climb, Ship Graveyard and Coves.
  • The environment of the The Terraces has been changed so that it's more consistent with early Act One.
  • Changed the layout of The Terraces to streamline the start of the game.
  • Added new unique bosses to The Terraces and the Mud Flats. They have interesting skills to use on players.
  • Reduced monster density in The Terraces.
  • Terraces are now smaller.
  • Revamped Terraces level.
