The Maven's Crucible is a boss arena where players fight multiple captured bosses simultaneously under the observation of The Maven. Players enter the Crucible using various Maven's Invitations.

Completing each Crucible for the first time awards players with 1 Atlas passive skill point. The Crucible also provides The Maven's Gift which allows players to assign their atlas skill points.

Mechanics

The Maven's Crucible is an arena that contains all of the captured bosses for a Maven's Invitation. Players must fight and defeat all the bosses simultaneously in order to win the battle. The final Crucible that contains 10 bosses is repeatable, similar to spawning Eldritch Horrors.

Atlas invitations have several different spawn patterns, including releasing monsters in pairs, on a timer, or all at once.

Endgame invitations spawn 2 monsters at once, then the other 2 after 20 seconds or if any are killed early. The Feared will spawn 2 bosses initially then the remaining 3 after 20 seconds. This can be bypassed, spawning all bosses at once by rolling a specific modifier on these endgame invitations.

Upon completion, player is granted access to The Maven's Gift which allows players to assign a skill point to their Atlas passive skill tree for each first clear of an Invitation.

Entry

The Crucible can be accessed by either using a quest Maven's Invitation in the Map Device or talking with Kirac when an invitation is ready to be opened after enough bosses have been witnessed.

The invitations for 3/4/5/6 bosses are guaranteed drops and quest items.

Atlas Invitation

Maven's Invitation: The Atlas has 5 tiers. The first 4 tiers are untradable quest items. The last tier is repeatable, and can be accessed and opened by talking to Kirac after witnessing enough map bosses.

Rewards

Each Maven Invitation rewards one Atlas Skill Tree point upon clicking the central altar after defeating all the bosses. In addition, the Feared will unlock a Map Favourite slot.

Some Awakened Support Gems can be found as rewards in the Maven's Crucible. Additionally, all invitations other than "The Atlas" can drop Divination Cards that typically drop from the witnessed bosses.

3.17.0	Awakened Gems no longer drop from Conquerors. Some Awakened Gems can now drop from The Maven's Crucible, with all Awakened Gems now being a possible drop from The Maven.
3.13.1	If you have already captured 10 bosses and haven't yet received an invitation, you should receive a guaranteed invitation drop upon your next boss kill within that region.
