Maligaro's Sanctum is an area in Act 7. This area does not have a waypoint and is connected to The Chamber of Sins Level 1 via fixed portals.

Function

Access to the area can be gained by opening Maligaro's MapMaligaro's Map"Certain maps can only be rendered in the most vivid of viscera."
- Inquisitor Maligaro in the map device located in The Chamber of Sins Level 1. It is comprised of multiple grotesque islands connected by plank bridges. At the end is a small arena, Maligaro's Workshop, containing Maligaro, the Artist.

If all portals to this area are used, the instance expires, or the Chambers of Sins instance is refreshed, a new instance to Maligaro's Sanctum can be opened again as the Maligaro's Map item will reappear in the map device.

After completing the quest in this area, this area cannot be accessed again. The Essence of the Artist quest and the area act as a tutorial of how the map system works. Unlike other act areas (except The Lord's Labyrinth and vaal side area), dying within Maligaro's Sanctum will respawn the character in The Chamber of Sins Level 1, where the map device is located, instead of an area within the Maligaro's Sanctum such as the entrance to the boss room.

Lore

There is some minor lore breaking that league mechanics, such as Expedition NPC, Smuggler's Cache, etc, are able to spawn in this area. For the lore of this area, see Maligaro's MapMaligaro's Map"Certain maps can only be rendered in the most vivid of viscera."
