on the Map Device. It is the domain of the Molten One, a Titan willing to lend the power of his Crucible Forge to craft powerful weapons.
The Primeval Remnant opens a Level 80 version of the zone and contains a forge at the end that lets you destroy an uncorrupted weapon or shield to combine its Crucible Passive Skill Tree with another weapon or shield of the same item class. The Primordial Remnant opens a Level 84 version of the zone with the forge that can also be used to combine two of the same unique items' passive trees or combine corrupted non-unique items.
The layout is a winding linear path with the forge at the end and one short branching path containing environmental lore regarding the Redblades. Crucible monsters spawn along the path after walking near their spawn points. As the spawning animation takes a few seconds, it is possible to avoid fighting any of the monsters and run directly to the forge.
The area may also contain a furnace that either lets you add a Crucible Passive Skill Tree to a unique item or remove a tree from a non-unique item if the Remant rolled the respective modifier.
Other modifiers can allow Crucible monsters in the area to drop

Antique Furnace
Certain modifiers on Primeval or Primordial Remnants allow the player to access a special crafting bench that can either add a Crucible Passive Tree to an uncorrupted Unique weapon or shield that does not already have a Crucible Passive Tree, or remove a Crucible Tree on an item, causing it to reroll a tree when next interacting with a Crucible Forge.
