It is one of the few items in the game that are universally usable in all builds, due to the highly useful and variable modifiers it can drop with. These modifiers are often powerful and in some cases not obtainable on other items. Depending on the modifiers' synergy, a Watcher's Eye has the potential to become one of the most valuable items in the game. Additionally, due to it being a unique item, it cannot be duplicated (e.g. mirrored).

The numeric values of mods on the Watcher's Eye can be modified using Divine OrbsDivine OrbStack Size: 20Randomises the values of the random modifiers on an itemRight click this item then left click a magic, rare or unique item to apply it., but the specific modifiers themselves cannot be rerolled via currency. However, it is possible to reroll the modifier in the Menagerie by beastcrafting using a Wild Hellion Alpha; doing so will reroll one random Aura-related modifier into any other Aura-related modifier.

There are combinations of 2-mod jewels and combinations of 3-mod jewels.

The size of the mod pool is due to the fact that most aura skill have 5 to 6 possible mods , with some of Purity of Fire/Ice/Lightning only have 4 mods each. While Zealotry is the only skill that have 7 possible mods.
