Leaders

Queen Atziri

The last queen of the Vaal civilization. She was known for her vanity and held court in a room lined with mirrors. Atziri wished for eternal youth, inspired by the serial killer Zerphi living 168 years with a young body, and her thaumaturgist Doryani sacrificed countless victims trying to achieve this.

Atziri is the main antagonist of the Sacrifice of the Vaal expansion. Destroyed by the Cataclysm, she still lingers in a nightmare realm that is leaking corruption back into the land of Wraeclast.[1]

Son of Tarcus Veruso and second emperor of the Eternal Empire. He was "dismembered by something referred to simply as a dark being" and was avenged by General Alano Phrecia.

Izaro

The Emperor of the Eternal Empire prior to Chitus and the last Phrecian emperor. He was responsible for the construction of The Labyrinth.

Chitus

The emperor during the Purity Rebellion. Chitus worked with the thaumaturgist Malachai to augment soldiers with virtue gems for an army of Gemlings. He was assassinated by Lord Mayor Ondar on the steps of the Sceptre of God. Also known as the "Monkey King" (Quoted from Scion dialogue).

Alano Phrecia

General under Emperor Caspiro Veruso. He led an army against "the darkness" after his emperor was killed, and was afterward crowned the third emperor. The imperial heartlands are named after him.

Gravicius

Located in the Ebony Barracks, he is a general of the Ebony Legion under Dominus. He tried to have the Witch killed before she was exiled from Oriath.

Marceus Lioneye

General who led a Gemling legion against Kaom's army and was defeated.

Thane Rigwald

Led the Ezomyte battle of Glarryn against governor Gaius Sentari. He called upon the First Ones through Talismans to aid his people in battle, but eventually succumbs to madness and serves the Greatwolf.

General of Sarn legion during Purity Rebellion. Killed by Sekhema Deshret in battle on the Vastiri plains. Was an Ezomyte by birth.

High Templar of Sarn under Emperor Chitus. Working with the poet Victario, he organized the Purity Rebellion and united the Karui, Maraketh, and Ezomytes against the Empire. Voll raised an army and defeated Hector Titucius' Vastiri legion with the help of Maraketh leader Sekhema Deshret. He later led the attack on Sarn.

Sekhema Deshret

Ruler of the Maraketh who agreed to help Voll attack General Hector Titucius's Vastiri Legion. After the defeating the legion she made a rhoa saddle from Titucius's skin.

Chitus's thaumaturgist and the creator of Gemlings, humans augmented with powerful virtue gems. He courted Lady Dialla and turned her into the Gemling Queen. After the Purity Rebellion Malachai's life was spared, and he built the Rapture Device to "purge Wraeclast of its otherworldly vices".
