With the base 150% Critical Strike Multiplier the breakeven point where Marylene's does less damage is if your base critical strike multiplier before equipping Marylene's is higher than 235% (85% additional critical strike multiplier).
This, however is changed when Critical Strike Luck from Dance with Death is applied.
With a base 100% critical strike chance, the critical strike chance with Marylene's Fallacy is 84%, following the Luck formula.
(2*0.6)-(0.6^2)=0.84=84%
In every case where your critical strike multiplier before equipping Marylene's Fallacy is higher than 390% (150% base + 240% additional) using Marylene's Fallacy is a loss of opportunity as you have to invest massively into critical strike chance.
Marylene's Fallacy combined with Luck is most effective when your pre-Marylene's critical strike chance is between 50%-80%.
As the tables below show, using Luck is extremely beneficial for Marylene's Fallacy, but tapers of as critical strike chances approaches 100% or when your other sources of Critical Strike Multiplier is high.

All sources of increased Critical Strike Multiplier have been changed to additional Critical Strike Multiplier. This change brings the functionality in line with how most players think it works.
Because of this, all items, passives and some skills/support gems that used to have increased Critical Strike Multiplier are now 33% less effective on players, despite having the same value. A number of these have been adjusted in value to maintain similar effectiveness.
