Like the act zone it is based upon, the map has three floors connected with stairs. The boss waits in a separate arena reachable through a portal located on the third floor.

Boss
The boss is based on Maligaro, the Artist and the mini-bosses Black Death, Pain Unending, Fidelitas, Loyalty Undying of Maligaro's Sanctum area of the act 7.
Visceris, based on Maligaro, the Artist and the mini-bosses Akaveesh (Black Death, Pain Unending) and M'uneh (Fidelitas, Loyalty Undying) of Maligaro's Sanctum area of the act 7. The boss is split into several phases.
Phase One begins upon approaching Visceris.
* Teleports behind the player and cleaves in an area. This ability will Inflict Maim
* Three-hit combo attack: Cleave, kick, stab
* Charges and throws 5 purple projectiles at the location the player was when the charge finishes
Phase Two begins when Visceris is dropped to 75% hp and disappears into the ground; Akaveesh appears shortly after and begins attacking.
* Fires three orb projectiles in a cone
* Spits a volley of orbs that fall to the ground and deal damage in a small area
* Fires a large slow projectile that leaves purple desecrated ground in it's trail
* After Akaveesh loses a portion of health, Visceris will occasionally pop up to attack, but is invulnerable
Phase Three and Four After killing Akaveesh, Visceris will re-appear and can be damaged until he reaches 50%, at which he will disappear again and M'uneh pops up from the ground.
* Channels briefly and slams the ground in a four small areas in front of him
* Casts a purple Tempest Shield that lasts for a short time
* Will attack with either his claw or lance that spawns a small purple cloud-like projectile
* After M'uneh loses a portion of health, Visceris will occasionally pop up to attack, but is invulnerable
Phase Five begins after killing M'uneh, leaving Visceris alone again
* During this phase, Visceris gains a Whirling Blades-like attack that he will use from random areas in the arena towards the player, up to 6 times, before using another attack.

The entire Atlas has been reworked. Many map names have changed, as have their balance, tier and position on the Atlas. Many maps have also had their boss fights swapped or completely reworked.
The rules used to generate monsters in endgame maps have been significantly reworked and rebalanced around the rate at which we expect players to reliably clear out the map. In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts. We will be closely monitoring and adjusting the balance of this change and expect to make further changes and improvements over time.
