You fight the boss three times in three different arenas. Only after the third time is map completion credit given.

Unique Boss drops divination cards causes Headmistress Braeta to drop divination cards each time she flees/is defeated. These cards can include "boss_drop_card" tagged cards.

Ruithless mode

In Ruthless mode, Headmistress Braeta drops several gems upon killing her in the final room. The two transition fights do not drop any additional items.

Legacy variants

The Putrid Cloister does not have legacy map mods. However, the map has legacy map series as the developers shuffled the atlas in version 3.1.0, and then almost every league since version 3.5.0. With the exception that Ritual and Ultimatum leagues used the same map series.

There is a vendor recipe that convert legacy unique map into the corresponding map of the current map series. However, there is a bug that reverted the shaped map (drops when watchstones are socketed) into base tier.

3.9.0	Added a new mechanic - Watchstones: These can only be obtained by defeating one of the new Atlas bosses. They can be used to raise the tier of all maps in a particular region of the Atlas, causing all maps of those base types to drop at the new higher tier. Unique maps can now drop with varied tiers based on the state of your Atlas.
