Layout

The layout is based on The Dried Lake. It consists of a few larger areas connected with short narrow paths that sometimes lead into a dead end. The boss doesn't have a separate arena. He waits in a large camp surrounded by palisades.

The Brittle Emperor, based on Voll. Has the following abilities:

• Powerful slam.
• Slow ramping up charge.
• Creates patches of Consecrated ground.
• Summons and raises Impure Archers and Impure Soldiers.

Strategy

The Brittle Emperor is slightly faster than other bosses based on Voll and he will regenerate a large amount of life if he remains standing on Consecrated Ground.

Many maps have also had their boss fights swapped or completely reworked. The rules used to generate monsters in endgame maps have been significantly reworked and rebalanced around the rate at which we expect players to reliably clear out the map. In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts. We will be closely monitoring and adjusting the balance of this change and expect to make further changes and improvements over time.
