The Shaper: Embraced by mud. Grasped by roots. The careless are silently swallowed.

Forking River is a map area.

Forking River Map is not in the current map series (Mercenaries) for the Atlas of Worlds. In permanent leagues, an existing Forking River Map can be used in the Map Device, but it cannot be influenced by the Eldritch Horrors or witnessed by the Maven. There is no bonus objective for this map. It can be converted to a map from the current series by selling it to a vendor.

Layout

The layout is apparently based on unreleased Path of Exile 2 content[citation needed]. The map featured is an alternative version of The Dried Lake with a portal to teleport to the bridge deck level, which bears a resemblance to The Aqueduct (The Blood Aqueduct). In the deck level there is a door to the boss arena.

The boss arena is a rectangular amphitheatre with rounded corners.
