This article describes historical game content.
Sextants were removed in Version 3.24.0.
A Sextant is a currency item that can be used on a Voidstone to add a special modifier to maps.
Mechanics
Sextants are used to add a random enchantment mod to a Voidstone on the Atlas of Worlds. This effect will be applied to all non-unique maps, while only some modifiers apply to different unique maps. Voidstones can only have at most one sextant modifier on them at a time; using another sextant on that Voidstone will replace the current modifier.
Each Awakened SextantAwakened SextantStack Size: 10Adds or rerolls a modifier on a VoidstoneRight click this item then left click a Voidstone to apply it. mod lasts a total of three uses of maps after which it disappears. Sextant mods from Elevated Sextants have fifteen uses. The Enduring Influence Atlas passive adds one additional use to either type of sextant when you apply one to a Voidstone; this passive can be unallocated afterwards and the remaining uses will not change.
Identical Sextant modifiers cannot be stacked. Sextants cannot roll the same mod that is already on a different Voidstone if applied while those Voidstones are socketed in the Atlas of Worlds menu. Additionally, certain types of modifiers that share a mod group (e.g. Tormented Spirits drop additional X) also cannot be stacked. If multiple non-stacking modifiers are on socketed Voidstones (e.g. via applying Charged CompassesCharged CompassRight click on this item then left click on a Voidstone to apply the itemised Sextant Modifier to the Voidstone.), only the Voidstone with higher remaining uses will consume a use.

This allows the sextant modifier to be traded.
