This article is about the variant of Iceberg Map from the most recent map series in which it appeared. For other variants, see § Map variants.

Iceberg Map does not exist in the current map series (Necropolis) for the Atlas of Worlds. In permanent leagues, an existing Iceberg Map can be used in the Map DeviceMap DeviceHideout ItemCreates an object in your hideout2 Variations, but it cannot be influenced by the Eldritch Horrors or witnessed by The Maven. There is no bonus objective for this map. It can be converted to a map from the current series by selling it to a vendor.

Iceberg Map is a map area.

Layout

The map is based on the tileset of The Ascent/The Descent. It consists of a mostly linear series of large icebergs interconnected with bridges. The larger icebergs have an inaccessible center part and a ledge to walk around it, while the smaller ones mostly consist of one walkable area with some unwalkable steeper parts at one edge.

The boss has no separate arena and waits in a zone marked with palisade obstacles at the far end of the map.

Encounters

Boss

Otesha, the Giantslayer uses dual melee claw attacks, Whirling Blades, Cold snap, and Icestorm.

Version history

Version Changes
3.16.0
  • This map has been removed from the Atlas.
  • This map can no longer drop.
  • You can still use your existing maps in the Map Device.
  • You can trade your existing maps to vendors. You will receive other maps that are still in the Atlas.
3.5.0
  • The Atlas of Worlds has been shuffled. Most maps have changed tier and location within the Atlas.
  • Many map bosses have also shifted around. Some have been retired and replaced!
3.1.0
  • Added 32 new maps including two new Unique maps.
  • The entire Atlas has been reworked. Many map names have changed, as have their balance, tier and position on the Atlas. Many maps have also had their boss fights swapped or completely reworked.
  • The rules used to generate monsters in endgame maps have been significantly reworked and rebalanced around the rate at which we expect players to reliably clear out the map. In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts. We will be closely monitoring and adjusting the balance of this change and expect to make further changes and improvements over time.
