Cyclone is an skill that initiates a spinning series of attacks as the player travels to a target location.
Skill functions and interactions
Cyclone spins at the player's attack speed and deals area of effect damage twice per spin. When dual wielding, each weapon hits once per spin.
Movement: Cyclone moves to a targeted location at the player's movement speed. It cannot target an enemy. Clicking further away means the character will go further, but as soon as Cyclone starts, the character can't be controlled and will continue spinning until the final destination. Therefore, high movement speed will allow the player to start another Cyclone in a different direction sooner. However, high attack speed and low movement speed allows for more hits on a stationary enemy. Cyclone uses pathfinding to reach its target, so the character won't necessarily travel in a straight line.
The minimum travel distance is 10 units.[1]
While Cycloning, the player is immune to stun and knockback. Death, being frozen, and Bear TrapsBear TrapTrap, Spell, Duration, Physical

After the immobilise expires, a debuff remains on the enemy for a duration, lowering their movement speed by an amount which lessens over time. The affected enemy will take increased damage from traps and mines until the debuff expires. Modifiers to spell damage do not affect this skill's damage.Deals (16-1447) to (22-2026) Physical Damage

Area of Effect: The base radius of Cyclone is determined from the edge of the character's hitbox (which has a radius of 2) to the edge of the melee weapon or unarmed range,[2] i.e:

This base radius is then further augmented by increased Area of Effect Radius and increased Radius of Area Skills.
Note that, since the base radius is so small to begin with, quality on the gem will never provide more than 1 extra unit of range, and thus isn't necessary to get to 20% in order to get full potential out of it in the vast majority of cases. Consult the available area of effect calculators to determine the exact Cyclone gem quality necessary to reach the next radius threshold.
