Distance in Path of Exile is measured in metres.

The base range of a melee weapon is displayed as a numeric value in its infobox with the label "Weapon Range". Additionally, modifiers to melee strike range are described as numeric values. Other than these, distances are not typically made known to the player through the game's user interface as explicit numeric values. "Nearby"

On the cosmological scale, it's all nearby.

The word "nearby" is used in the descriptions of many skill effects, passive bonuses, and item modifiers. In descriptions where "nearby" is used, the actual radius of the area of effect is not given. The radius may be small as to reach just beyond melee weapon range, or large as to cover most of the screen, or anything in between. This is a common source of confusion for players who assume that "nearby" is a keyword that means a specific measurement, similar to how the keyword "recently" always means "within the last four seconds". According to a common English language definition, the word "nearby" means "located a short distance away". Differing ideas about what that may mean in the context of the game often causes bewilderment when it is discovered that in some cases "nearby" refers to almost anywhere the player can see, whereas in other cases it refers to a much smaller area of effect.[3][4][5][6] Put simply, it is difficult to predict the size of one "nearby" effect by examining another.

"In your presence"

Modifiers and stats that take effect when certain types of monsters are "in your presence" such as eldritch implicit modifiers or Loyalty tattoos have a fixed distance of 8 metres.
