The Catch sculpture that was used to unlock the Trinket slot prior to version 3.23.0
Thief's Trinket is a trinket base type. It is also the only trinket base type. They can only be found in the Curio Display of a Grand Heist. To equip it, a player needs to unlock the Trinket slot, either by obtaining a Thief's Trinket from a Grand Heist on that character, or by opening a stash tab that contains a Thief's Trinket, which automatically unlocks the Trinket slot in the character's inventory menu.
Thief's Trinkets given as Curio Display rewards will always be corruptedrare, and will always have at least 3 modifiers. They have a maximum of 4 affixes; 2 prefixes, and 2 suffixes. Thief's Trinkets can be modified through the use of Tainted currencies, allowing for limited crafting. Rogue markers are not considered equipped, but can hold an incubator.
Only the player who triggers the item drop by killing the monster or opening a chest will have their Trinket effects applied to the drop. Other party members' trinkets will be ignored.
The majority of trinket modifiers apply exclusively while in a Heist, except two prefix modifiers:

Heist-specific modifiers
Most prefix modifiers allow for the upgrading of basic currency items into scarcer and more desirable orbs while in Heists, as well as a few wildcard modifiers that grant more generic benefits. Most suffix modifiers grant a chance to add additional types of rewards to all chests opened while in Heist, with a few wildcard modifiers that apply more generic benefits. These additional rewards can drop from any opened chests in Heist, including reward chests found in rooms, as well as small chests found in hallways. These rewards are also able to be doubled from sources such as Vinderi, the Dismantler or modifiers found on a Rogue's brooch.
Item acquisition
Thief's Trinket has restrictions on where or how it can drop.
The 5-to-1 vendor recipe yields a random rare corrupted Thief's Trinket. The vendor offer is shown as a hidden item in the Sell screen, so it is not possible to see which modifiers the resulting Thief's Trinket will have before committing to the sale.
The Thief's Trinket modifier that grants a chance to drop an additional Breach item when opening a Reward Chest now instead grants #% chance to receive additional Gold when opening a Reward Chest in a Heist.[Undocumented]

The Heist Trinket modifiers that provide a chance for Regal Orbs to drop as Divine Orbs instead in Heists now provide up to 4% at the highest tier (previously 5%), to match Trinket modifiers that provide a chance for Regal Orbs to drop as Exalted Orbs.
