Alva's Memory is a memory that generates Alva's memory questlines on the Atlas of Worlds. It always drop as a magic item and is unmodifiable.

Item acquisition

Alva's Memory has restrictions on where or how it can drop.

Found in T14+ Maps.

Using this item on a completed Map on the Atlas of Worlds will cause several connected maps to activate a quest chain for the named Master. Speaking to the NPC will provide a dialogue snippet that does not change, as well as an option to open the marked Map. This map can be modified with currency, fossils, and Delirium orbs, and can become corrupted. The map does not use the player's Atlas Passive Skill Tree or Sextants as it is considered opened by an NPC, similar to Kirac Missions. It cannot be modified with fragments. Each successive map opened will have modifiers that increase in difficulty.

The Vaal were endlessly clever. I use one of their secret rituals to open portals to the past. That means, long ago, they were of course experimenting with that same kind of blood magic. Sometimes, they're back there waiting for me to accidentally open the other end of their portal, and they come charging out the moment I do! That's no problem for me, since I'm distantly of Vaalish descent, but they might not treat you so kindly, since you're... I mean, you know.

Alva will instead generate Incursion monsters and two Unique Architects around the Temporal Incursion altars. These have no impact on your current Temple of Atzoatl. Rare incursion items dropped are random and not dependent on the architect killed.

Each Alva's Memory of Reverse Incursion paths along four maps.

Sometimes, you don't have to go searching for treasure. Sometimes, it's laid out for you invitingly. You know what that means, don't you? It's a trap. If you ever encounter a series of strongboxes like I once did, know that somebody is definitely looking to ambush you. They're counting on your inability to resist shiny things. Can't say I blame you, though!

Each spawned Strongbox also spawns two additional Strongboxes nearby which trigger sequentially after completing the previous one. The sequential Strongboxes copy the modifiers and quality of the first Strongbox and cannot be rerolled. The Strongboxes are visually larger than their default versions.

Each Alva's Memory of Cascading Fortunes paths along four maps.
