Trial of Piercing Truth is one of the six Trials of Ascendancy. It can be found in map randomly or by using The Dream TrialThe Dream TrialThe depths of a dream hide a gauntlet that sharpens the body and mind.You will discover a Trial of Ascendancy in a map.Right-click to add this prophecy to your character. prophecy to increase the odd. The "easier" versions can be found in The Lower Prison (Act 1) and The Lower Prison (Act 6). They are no longer referred to as "Trial of Piercing Truth".

It demonstrates Spike Traps, which shoot out of the ground in a square area according to a timer, taking 1/4 of the player's effective hitpoints (hitpoints + energy shield) and locking them in place. This kind of trap isn't very dangerous, because it cannot kill fast and the lost hitpoints can be recovered using potions.

Upon completing the trial, Izaro gives the message "Belief is the strongest metal of them all." and players are provided with a portal back to the entrance.
