For the quest, see The Elderslayers.
For the Ascendancy passive skill, see Conqueror.

Conquerors of the Atlas, also known as Elderslayers, are five endgame bosses of the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion and storyline. One of them, Sirus, is known as the Final Conqueror or the Awakener.

Conquerors

Al-Hezmin, the Hunter

Al-Hezmin, the Hunter was introduced as one of the endgame bosses during the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion. Al-Hezmin constantly honed his skills during his journey but also grew increasingly vain. He went mad and started to strip clean entire worlds together with his companions after their quest to destroy the Elders.

Al-Hezmin deals mainly Chaos Damage, summons large snakes that spit venom at the player and fills the central pool of his arena with poison at regular intervals. His main drops are an influenced item with the modifiers Hunter's / of the Hunt, the Hunter's Exalted OrbHunter's Exalted OrbStack Size: 20Adds Hunter influence and a new Hunter modifier to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a high-level rare item with no influence to apply it. Rare items can have up to six random modifiers. and Al-Hezmin's CrestAl-Hezmin's CrestStack Size: 10He sought to be the best,
but lost his family.
Can be used in a personal Map Device.
. His internal id is "basilisk".

Baran, the Crusader

Baran, the Crusader is Commander Kirac's brother and was the first of the endgame bosses the player encountered during the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion. Baran was a devout man and enjoyed theological disputes with his fellow Elderslayers. After being exposed to the Atlas for too long, he slowly lost his mind, began to berate his companions and in the end suspected them of "dragging him from his righteous path" to becoming God himself.

Baran deals Physical and Lightning Damage and casts runes on the ground that deplete mana and deal damage. His main drops are an influenced item with the modifiers Crusader's / of the Crusade, the Crusader's Exalted OrbCrusader's Exalted OrbStack Size: 20Adds Crusader influence and a new Crusader modifier to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a high-level rare item with no influence to apply it. Rare items can have up to six random modifiers. and Baran's CrestBaran's CrestStack Size: 10He sought God,
but lost himself.
Can be used in a personal Map Device.
. His internal id is "crusader".

Drox, the Warlord

Drox, the Warlord was the unspoken leader of the group of Conquerors who together took it upon them to rid the Atlas of the Elders during the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion. Drox had always been a very capable fighter and took to leading naturally. However, over time he descended into madness and his dream of building his own kingdom in the Atlas turned into a brazen fight to rule over it according to his own ideas of justice.

Drox deals Physical Damage in form of giant hands that smash the player. He casts war banners that increase his defences and the defences of monsters regularly entering from every direction of the cross-shaped arena. Drox' main drops are an influenced item with the modifiers Warlord's / of the Conquest, the Warlord's Exalted OrbWarlord's Exalted OrbStack Size: 20Adds Warlord influence and a new Warlord modifier to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a high-level rare item with no influence to apply it. Rare items can have up to six random modifiers. and Drox's CrestDrox's CrestStack Size: 10He sought a kingdom,
but lost his people.
Can be used in a personal Map Device.
. His internal id is "adjudicator".

Veritania, the Redeemer

Veritania, the Redeemer was the only female Elderslayer introduced as an endgame boss in the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion. Veritania had originally been exiled from Oriath for indiscriminately taking care of the disadvantaged and during the Conquerors' journey adhered to a strict moral code. But like her associates she grew more and more deranged under the influence of the Atlas and disdained the others' perceived shortcomings. In the end she believed herself to be the only one who could extinguish humanity's vices.

Veritania deals mainly Cold Damage in the form of ice shard projectiles and encloses the player in an icy tornado. Her main drops are an influenced item with the modifiers Redeemer's / of Redemption, the Redeemer's Exalted OrbRedeemer's Exalted OrbStack Size: 20Adds Redeemer influence and a new Redeemer modifier to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a high-level rare item with no influence to apply it. Rare items can have up to six random modifiers. and Veritania's CrestVeritania's CrestStack Size: 10She sought to bring salvation,
but lost her compassion.
Can be used in a personal Map Device.
. Her internal id is "eyrie".

Sirus, Awakener of Worlds

Sirus, the Awakener was the actual leader of the group of Exiles that Zana recruited to slay the Elders in the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion. He was Zana's lover and considered brilliant and determined. Sirus took the brunt of the energy released at the sealing of the Elder and died in the process. He returned to the Atlas as an immense destructive force reshaping the land and awakening it.

Sirus deals multiple kinds of damage in a complex attack pattern. His main drops are an i86 influenced item, an exlusive unique (see table below) and an Awakener's OrbAwakener's OrbStack Size: 10Destroys an item, applying its influence to another of the same item class
The second item is reforged as a rare item with both influence types and new modifiers
Right click this item, then left click the item you wish to take the influence from, then left click an item of the same item class you wish to apply it to.
. Sirus does not have an internal id as he has no exclusive influenced item mod.

Since the Conquerors have been defeated as of Patch 3.17.0, they can be encountered in special Conqueror-influenced maps that randomly drop from T14 or higher map bosses or can be acquired from Commander Kirac. Al-Hezmin, Baran, Drox, and Veritania each drop a map fragment upon their defeat that combined in the map device open a portal to Sirus' arena.

Mechanics

Upon killing T14+ Map Bosses, a Conqueror-influenced Tier 14 to 16 map may drop, which is contains the citadel of one of the four Conquerors. The drop rate can be increased with Atlas passive skills. The map can also be sold by Kirac or offered in-map as part of his Atlas Missions, as well as from Map type rewards, Tujen, and Ritual, among other sources. Players can use an Orb of HorizonsOrb of HorizonsStack Size: 20Reforges a map item as another of the same tierRight click this item then left click a map to apply it. or Harbinger's OrbHarbinger's OrbStack Size: 20Reforges a map item as another of a higher tierRight click this item then left click a map to apply it. to convert or upgrade the base type of the map. However, players cannot change the Conqueror that has conquered the map itself.

Conqueror-influenced maps contain several Conqueror-themed monsters and may drop Conqueror-influenced items of the same type. Upon defeating the map boss, a portal will appear that leads to the respective citadel of the Conqueror for a boss fight. The boss and arena are affected by map modifiers.

Each arena contains various hazards respective to that boss.

Drops

Each of the Conquerors (excluding Sirus) has a guaranteed map fragment for the Sirus encounter and an exclusive variant of an Exalted Orb which can add a Conqueror influence to an item. These only drops from their respective Conqueror.

Sirus drops four exclusive Unique items, the Orb of DominanceOrb of DominanceStack Size: 10Removes one Influenced Modifier from an item with at least two Influenced

Lore

In the Conquerors of the Atlas expansion, the player exists in an alternative timeline where the Shaper and Elder have already been defeated by the Elderslayers (instead of the players themselves, based on War for the Atlas storyline). After the fight with the Elder, Zana betrayed them, sealing them in the Atlas as they became warped by their desires and exposure to the Atlas and the Elder. The in-game epilogue storyline takes place as the Conquerors (those Elderslayers) begin to break through, not only conquering regions of the Atlas for their own goals, but also enabling Sirus' plan to invade Oriath and destroy the city as revenge. The apparitions the players fight against are manifestations of their warped desires. After killing Sirus, Zana has hinted she may treat the player character the same as previous exiles/Elderslayers if they keep on back to the Atlas.

"

I'm sorry if I came across as harsh, but by entering the Atlas, you may have jeopardised all of humanity.

My name is Zana, and some time ago I took a group of exiles like yourself into the Atlas. Our task, to ensure a creature named the Elder never reached our world, was of immeasurable importance. Even though the exiles I recruited were adept combatants, the journey was difficult. Yet we succeeded. We defeated the Elder. Though we couldn't save--... we still succeeded.

I thought we were done, but... but my companions just kept... returning. Over and over again, they would enter the Atlas, wiping clean entire worlds. It wasn't about saving Oriath, or discovery, it was just... killing.

The Atlas does strange things to one's thought processes. I thought at first the madness was a symptom of the Elder, but now... it's the Atlas itself. I'm sure of it.

But these exiles are now so strong... I saw no other choice but to destroy our only way out. I sealed us all in and waited for death to find us.

Instead, I found you.

"

- Zana's introduction (Conquerors expansion)

"

I suppose I was a fool for thinking I could just lock us all away -- it was always only a matter of time before someone's curiosity got the better of them.

Exile, I know who you are and what you've done. I know you are strong. Capable of slaying gods! But the other exiles in the Atlas... they are beyond compare.

Yet, they must be stopped. We have a small window while they do not understand that there is a way back to Wraeclast. They are trying to find other ways out.

I've begun finding altars like this one hidden in the spaces between maps. I'm worried the others are building them as a means of escape. We need to find a way to stop them.

I'm sorry. I know you've done so much... but who else can possibly do what I ask?

These Exiles have found hidden pathways like this one. I'm not sure where they hide, but if you can find out, I can get us there. I'll be waiting in your hideout.

"

- Zana's "The Elderslayers" dialogue

"

My home... Our home... It's... it's just... gone. After everything it has been through, I still thought Oriath could recover, could become the place I always hoped it would be...

Now...? Now it's just ash. There's not even enough rubble left for us to scavenge through.

Sirus, why did you have to--...?

I'm sorry, Exile. I should be happy. I should be thanking you for your help. I should be focused on the future. But I don't even know where to begin. Oriath, and the people who were in it, are scattered to the wind. We'll just... keep going, I suppose. What else can we do? Perhaps we can settle here... Stay in one place for a change.

But at least you're done now, right, Exile? You'll leave the Atlas alone... right?

"

- Zana's "Oriath" dialogue (post Sirus)

The Echoes of the Atlas expansion adds parallel storyline along with the Conquerors. In which the player encountered The Maven, a Elder-like entity. Kirac, brother of one of the Conquerors, Baran, even suspected that the Maven can clone and resurrect the bosses inside the atlas. Kirac suggested that the player may able to rescue Baran since he was resurrected. The plan eventually failed. The expansion also fixed a long existed plot hole that the player can farm the atlas bosses without any lore supporting it.

"

You saw Baran? How is that possible, if you slew him? Unless -

It's the Maven. It has to be. She's been recreating other powerful creatures of the Atlas for her own amusement. Of course she would do the same to my brother, given his notable strength. None of the creatures out there can challenge him, either, which means the Maven is resurrecting him to watch his fights with you, and the Atlas is already the perfect battleground for such a show.

Keep her entertained, Exile. It will give us more time to learn about her. If we can play this right, then perhaps Baran can be saved after all.

"

- Kirac's "Baran" dialogue (in hideout)

"

Even after all that's happened, I find myself unable to move on. Keep pursuing Baran, exile. Let's keep trying to save him. We won't fall into the same madness, either, because I'll stay out here in the real world. I'm the one with the desire, and you're the one with the strength. If we keep the two separate, the Atlas can't trap us.
And one day, we'll find a way to save him.

"

- Kirac's "Baran" dialogue (in Karui Shores)

In the Siege of the Atlas expansion, the player is in a new timeline where Oriath is already destroyed at the start of the epilogue (instead of destroyed by Sirus under the player's witness), where the end-game bosses are now The Maven, The Searing Exarch and The Eater of Worlds. Kirac still offers the player to play itemized Conqueror-influenced maps and Sirus is available via fragments; like other fragment bosses and guardians, these are now considered memories or parallel universes and are not occurring in real-time in-universe.
