Prisoner's Gate is an area in Act 1. This area has a waypoint and is connected to The Upper Prison, The Ship Graveyard, and The Western Forest.
After killing Brutus, Lord Incarcerator, the waypoint near Axiom Prison's exit is automatically activated. From there, a road leads north to the Western Forest area in Act 2. However, when you approach the exit Piety appears and blocks your path by activating a thaumaturgical barrier. To unblock the path, you must deactivate the barrier from the other side in the quest The Way Forward, which cannot be completed until Act 2.
Either the left or right side of the starting area will have a small cliff indicating that the path continues on that side. The rest of the area consists of a series of three more open areas separated in half by a cliff, and connected by narrow passages. The Burning Menace spawns in the lower section of the second area, while Ungulath can spawn anywhere.
