The Prisoner's Gate is a zone in Act 1.
This zone is connected to The Warden's Quarters and The Ship Graveyard. This zone has a Waypoint near its entrance.
When viewing the world map, this zone appears to be connected to Act 2, specifically The Western Forest. However, when you move your character near that exit, a mysterious person blocks the path with spikes and you must continue on in the other direction instead.
