Avoidance is a mechanic that stops the damage of a hit after block has failed. It still counts as a hit, even if it deals 0 damage.[1] Avoidance should not be confused or conflated with Evasion, Dodge, Block, or Immunity.
Damage avoidance from hits are capped at 75%.

Several Gods provide chances to avoid varying types of damage and/or effects.
Major Gods
- Soul of Lunaris upgrade from Merveil, the Returned grants 10% chance to avoid Projectile Damage
- Soul of Lunaris upgrade from Ambrius, Legion Slayer grants Avoid Projectiles that have Chained
- Soul of Solaris upgrade from The Infernal King grants 50% chance to avoid Ailments from Critical Strikes
- Soul of Arakaali grants 10% chance to Avoid Lightning Damage when Hit
