Elemental Damage, Life Regeneration
Consecrated Ground you create causes Life Regeneration to
also Recover Energy Shield for you and Allies [1]
Pious Path is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Inquisitor that grants additional effects to Consecrated Ground the player creates. The player's consecrated ground will cause all sources of life regeneration to also recover energy shield. This energy shield recovery counts as regeneration, and can be prevented by sources of Cannot regenerate energy shield such as Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Shavronne's Revelation".[1] Vaal Pact and other sources that disable life regeneration will also prevent Pious Path from recovering ES.
Modifiers to "Life Regeneration rate" will affect the ES recovery rate, as it directly modifies the value in the character's stats screen. Other modifiers to life recovery rate will not apply.
In addition, effects from the player's consecrated ground will linger on you, allies, and enemies for 4 seconds after the effect would normally be removed. This also applies to additional effects such as the modifiers found on Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Gifts from Above" or Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Bottled Faith", as entities will be considered "on Consecrated Ground" while the linger effect is active. This stat stacks additively with a similar modifier found on Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Rational Doctrine".
Ruthless mode
Consecrated Ground you create causes Life Regeneration to also Recover Energy Shield for you and Allies
Pious Path in Ruthless mode is unchanged.

Elemental Damage, Critical Strike Multiplier
Non-Critical Strikes Penetrate 10% of Enemy Elemental Resistances [1]
Inevitable Judgement is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Inquisitor that grants elemental damage penetration on a non-critical strike or causes hits to ignore the enemy's elemental resistances on critical strike.
Mechanics
With Inevitable Judgment, a critical strike ignores the concept of elemental resistance altogether.[1] In practice, it is equal to overriding an enemy's elemental resistance to 0%. As a result, any elemental resistance reduction and penetration modifiers are ignored,[2] even if an enemy's resistance would be less than 0% otherwise.
Inevitable Judgement does not penetrate or ignore player's resistances on reflect.[3]
Ruthless mode
Inevitable Judgement in Ruthless mode does not cause non-crits to penetrate resistances.
