This page is about the Ascendancy class. For the Ascendant passive, see Slayer (Ascendant passive).

The Slayer is an Ascendancy class for Duelists.

Overview

The Slayer is an offence oriented class based around attacks. The Slayer Ascendancy offers support for boss killing, on kill effects, enhanced culling, life leech bonuses, critical strikes, strike skills, melee skills, area of effect, accuracy, and Frenzy charge and Endurance charge bonuses. Furthermore, all of his minor passives grant attack damage, bolstering his offence.

Bane of Legends makes the Slayer to be unable to take reflected physical damage, and makes clearing and bossing easier, combined with Headsman, it bolsters clear potential even more and is the notable which makes the Slayer a very effective boss killer. Utilising Endless Hunger and Brutal Fervour allows the Slayer to essentially convert life leech to act as form of life regeneration, and grants conditional buffs as you are leeching. With Overwhelm, not only is the Slayer is able to buff his own critical strike capabilities, but can also debuff nearby enemies' critical strike capabilities. With Impact, the Slayer can gain strike range, increased area of effect, and a great accuracy modifier, making this notable a potent choice. If choosing Masterful Form, the Slayer can forgo investing in Endurance charges and instead invest in Frenzy charges when using a build which utilises both, as this notable would make the Slayer more flexible in gearing and passive tree allocation.
