Watcher's Eye is a uniquePrismatic JewelPrismatic JewelPlace into an allocated Jewel Socket on the Passive Skill Tree. Right click to remove from the Socket., that provides between 4-6% increased life, mana and energy shield, along with 2 or 3 offensive and/or defensive mods that operate only if specific auras are active. They are one of the few items in the game that are universally used in all builds, due to the highly variable and random modifiers that they can drop with. Their modifiers are unique, highly powerful, cannot be crafted on other Prismatic Jewels, and are unobtainable on Cluster Jewels as well.
Depending on the roll, a Watcher's Eye can be of the most valuable items in the game. A 2-mod Watcher's Eye can drop from The Elder encounter, if The Shaper is kept alive during the captured phase. A 3-mod Watcher's Eye only drops from the Uber Elder encounter. The drop rate of a Watcher's Eye can be increased by unlocking the Gaze into the AbyssAtlas passive skill within the The Uncharted Realms.

Usage
Players can only socket in one Watcher's Eye in their skill tree at a time. This restriction was placed to prevent overpowered builds and to increase the value of the jewel. Due to this restriction, players are forced to find a single jewel that has all the mods that they want, rather than simply using 3 separate jewels with one mod each. This jewel is often one of the most expensive pieces of any build. Players generally look for jewels that work with the auras they already use, but in some rare cases players may stack auras specifically to suit a specific jewel.

Existing versions of this item with this modifier are unaffected.
Can no longer gain +% to Cold and Chaos Damage over Time Multipliers while affected by Malevolence. Instead now has +% to Damage over Time Multiplier while affected by Malevolence. This affected all versions of the item. The mana cost reduction while affected by Clarity now specifically applies to non-channeled skills. The mana leech while affected by Wrath is now Energy Shield leech while affected by Wrath. These two changes do NOT affect existing items, and cannot be obtained with a Divine Orb.
Reduced the value of the "x% increased Maximum total Recovery per second from Energy Shield Leech while affected by Zealotry" modifier found on the Watcher's Eye Unique Jewel from 180% to 30%. This modifier was unintentionally six times higher than intended. This affects all existing versions of this item.
The "Unaffected by Bleeding while affected by Malevolence" modifier found on Watcher's Eye unique jewels now prevents Corrupting Blood from affecting you.
The Elder's Unstable phase is now more difficult, and can drop more Elder items if successfully completed. This is now the only way to obtain the Watcher's Eye unique jewel.
Fixed a bug where the "Gain x% of Maximum Mana as Extra Maximum Energy Shield while affected by Clarity" Watcher's Eye mod was granting more Energy Shield than intended.
