The invitation will highlighted the completed boss with white text. E.g. Rewritten Distant Memory instead of Rewritten Distant Memory.
The fight in the Maven's Crucible, is fighting all 4 Synthete at the same time.
If you fail to defeat these bosses simultaneously within the The Maven's Crucible, you will have to defeat all the "Distant Memory" maps again and obtain a new invitation. Therefore if your build is not suitable for intensive bossing, run the Maven's Invitation in Normal rarity to make the combat as easy as possible.
