Arcanist Brand is an active skill gem that turns a linked spell into a brand spell. Casting the supported spell creates a brand which triggers all linked spells periodically while attached to an enemy.
The gem has two part, the skill part Arcanist Brand and the support part Arcanist Brand Support. It does not have Support gem tag.
Chanelling Spells: Even though its does not say in the description of the gem, linking a chanelling spell with this support skill gem won't cause it to be activated by this skill.
Arcanist brands base cast speed is for how long it takes to cast the brand spell. The activation frequency is how often the brand triggers linked spells. Both of these are increased by cast speed.
