In in-game Bestiary, Crab, Shield Crab, Sand Spitter and Spider Crab are listed as genera. They all belongs to Crustaceans group of The Deep family.

The boss, Craiceann, First of the Deep, was in fact classified by in-game Bestiary as Lurchers. (read the link to the wikipedia article to know the meaning of Lurcher in real world)
