A lure is a type of map fragment. It can be placed alongside a map in the Map DeviceMap DeviceHideout ItemCreates an object in your hideout2 Variations
to augment it.
Lures function like Bestiary Scarabs, but offer greater specificity over which types of beasts will be encountered. Each lure adds four red beasts from their respective families into the map instance:
- The Deep (Craicic)
- The Wilds (Farric)
- The Caverns (Fenumal)
- The Sands (Saqawine)
Lures cannot be used in conjunction with Bestiary Scarabs.

Version history
Prior to the Harvest rework in version 3.19.0, lures could be obtained using a specific harvest crafting option that could be gained from harvesting Primal Crushclaws. This harvest crafting option allowed the player to change a unique "Bestiary item" (one that can only drop from the Spirit Beasts) or an item with an Aspect modifier into a number of lures of the same beast family. Lures could also drop from Oshabi, Avatar of the Grove.
During Heist league, lures could drop from certain chests in heist missions.
