The attributes that will improve max spirit count are [[Cast Speed]] and [[Skill Duration]].  Due to their short duration and very high maximum of 20, sustaining the maximum number of Raging Spirits is challenging without the use of a support gem.

Raging Spirits don't behave like zombies or spectres, but they pick their targets independently of your actions (attacking usually the nearest targets while zombies focus their attack where you attack). It can be useful to help other minions focus their attacks on enemies near you instead of enemies somewhere far away because they'll prefer attacking enemies that the spirits are attacking.

Due to their relatively high effectiveness for added damage, especially considering their overwhelming numbers, Raging Spirits scale superlatively with sources of "flat" added damage.

A popular strategy using these two points above is to add a huge amount of flat added [[Chaos]] damage to the Raging Spirits and then have them inflict [[Poison]] which allows for extremely efficient scaling of their damage per second through effects like [[Wither]] and the {{il|Temporal Chains}} curse.

Summon Raging Spirit (commonly referred to as SRS) is a minion spell that temporarily summons a flying flaming skull that charges at enemies and attacks them.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Behaviour: Raging Spirits do not follow the character like other minions do. Instead, they move towards the direction the player points with their cursor upon summoning. If they encounter enemies on their way, they will immediately attack them. If no enemies are found, they will search for nearby enemies and move to attack them. They will continue chasing and attacking enemies until their duration ends. If multiple Raging Spirits are nearby, they will attempt to choose different targets, making them more effective in spreading their damage across an entire pack of monsters. Due to their ability to fly and naturally chain between packs of enemies, they are great for clearing out entire areas when paired with the Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Melee Splash Support".
  • Duration: Each Raging Spirit has a base duration of 5 seconds. To reach the maximum of 20 Raging Spirits, investing in skill duration might be necessary to extend their lifetime.   • Damage conversion: Raging Spirits deal base physical damage. Strategy

Sustaining Maximum Spirits

The attributes that will improve max spirit count are Cast Speed and Skill Duration. Due to their short duration and very high maximum of 20, sustaining the maximum number of Raging Spirits is challenging without the use of a support gem.

Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Unleash Support", In conjunction with some improvements to Skill Duration from the tree, notably Enduring Bond, will allow you to sustain the maximum number of spirits relatively easily, but at the opportunity cost of another damage improving support.

Between Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Unleash Support"} and Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Spell Echo Support"} The former is generally preferred as it allows the caster to remain mobile, and its damage penalty only applies "when Reoccurring" so immediately stops applying to the created Raging Spirits.

The cast speed has been reduced to 500ms from 800ms. The damage dealt by Raging Spirits has been substantially reworked and is lower at high levels. Raging Spirits are now more likely to target enemies who are attacked by fewer Raging Spirits, except when enemies are close to the caster.
