Taunt

Taunt is a debuff that causes an affected enemy to focus aggro, only targeting the source of the taunt for 3 seconds. Taunted enemies inherently deal 10% less damage to targets that aren't the source of the taunt (including in PvP).[1] Taunts can be applied by players, minions, monsters, or proxies that are targetable (e.g. totems, but not traps, mines, or mirages). Taunt immediately expires when the character (or proxy) that applied it dies or expires.
When multiple sources are taunting the same enemy, the first taunt applied determines the aggro. The targeted source can maintain aggro indefinitely as long as it maintains its taunt on the target.[1]
All targets can be taunted unless made immune through a modifier; however, taunt will not cause The Shaper, The Elder, Shaper Guardians, Elder Guardians, or various other unique bosses to retarget towards the source of the taunt.[2]
