A curse to spite you. But do not give up. For vast riches await the bold. Pillage this sanctum if you must... And one day you may uncover its secrets.

Path of Exile: The Forbidden Sanctum is an expansion of Path of Exile. It was officially announced by Grinding Gear Games on November 17th, 2022, and released on December 9th, 2022 alongside the Sanctum league.

This expansion explores the Forbidden Sanctum's dangerous halls and introduces new gems (including 7 new vaal gems), new Unique Items, significant balance changes to jewels, hexes, monster modifiers, and unique weapons. This expansion also marks the release of Ruthless mode.

After the initial version 3.20.0, additional features were added to facilitate the new race mode of the game, such as Ruthless with Gold, etc.
