The Maven is an epilogue quest. It act as the tutorial quest for the Maven's Invitation: The AtlasMaven's Invitation: The AtlasFor those who must not endure it,
there may be found a perverse joy
in watching the struggle for survival.Open portals to The Maven's Crucible by using this item in a personal Map Device. (10 bosses version)

Walkthrough

When the player begins mapping yellow maps (T6+), player will discovers an NPC named The Envoy, which ask the player to kill the map boss. The boss will then drop the The Maven's BeaconThe Maven's BeaconAllows you to call the Maven to a map from your Map Device.Right-click this item then left-click the Map Device in your Hideout to attach the Maven's Beacon..

(Alternatively, in permanent leagues The Envoy may simply just gives you the The Maven's BeaconThe Maven's BeaconAllows you to call the Maven to a map from your Map Device.Right-click this item then left-click the Map Device in your Hideout to attach the Maven's Beacon.)

Use the Beacon to upgrade the Map DeviceMap DeviceHideout ItemCreates an object in your hideout2 Variations. A symbol of the Maven will be added to the map device, toggling that button to allow Maven spawn in a map, allowing you to witness future map fights and also increasing the difficulty of the boss.

Then the following steps must be completed:

1. Defeat 3 Bosses of Tier 6+ Maps while they are witnessed by the Maven. You will receive the The Maven's Invitation: The Atlas.
2. Use the Invitation in the map device and defeat those bosses again in Maven's Crucible. The area level is 73. This will award 1 atlas passive skill point and 2 respec points.
3. Defeat 4 Bosses of Tier 8+ Maps while they are witnessed by the Maven.
4. Accept the Maven's Invitation and defeat those bosses again in an arena. The area level is 75. This will award 1 atlas passive skill point and 2 respec points.
5. Defeat 5 Bosses of Tier 10+ Maps while they are witnessed by the Maven. You will receive the the third quest invitation
6. Accept the Maven's Invitation and defeat those bosses again in an arena. The area level is 78. This will award 1 atlas passive skill point and 2 respec points.
7. Defeat 6 Bosses of Tier 12+ Maps while they are witnessed by the Maven. You will receive the the fourth quest invitation
8. Accept the Maven's Invitation and defeat those bosses again in an arena. The area level is 80. This will award 1 atlas passive skill point and 2 respec points.
9. Defeat 10 Bosses of Tier 14+ Maps while they are witnessed by the Maven. You will receive the the final invitation
10. Accept the Maven's Invitation and defeat those bosses again in an arena. The area level is 83. This will award 1 atlas passive skill point and 2 respec points.

Collect more Map Bosses for the Maven

Call the Maven to Tier 6+ Maps and complete them as she watches. You have defeated 0 (1, 2, 3) out of 3.

Accept the Maven's Invitation

The Maven has invited you to attempt a greater challenge. Use the Invitation in your Map Device to attempt it.

Collect more Map Bosses for the Maven

Call the Maven to Tier 8+ Maps and complete them as she watches. You have defeated 0 (1, 2, 3, 4) out of 4.

Accept the Maven's Invitation

The Maven has invited you to attempt a greater challenge. Use the Invitation in your Map Device to attempt it.

Collect more Map Bosses for the Maven

Call the Maven to Tier 10+ Maps and complete them as she watches. You have defeated 0 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) out of 5.

Accept the Maven's Invitation

The Maven has invited you to attempt a greater challenge. Use the Invitation in your Map Device to attempt it.

Collect more Map Bosses for the Maven

Call the Maven to Tier 12+ Maps and complete them as she watches. You have defeated 0 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) out of 6.

The Maven has invited you to attempt a greater challenge. Use the Invitation in your Map Device to attempt it.

Collect more Map Bosses for the Maven

Call the Maven to Tier 14+ Maps and complete them as she watches. You have defeated 0 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10) out of 10.

Accept the Maven's Invitation

The Maven has invited you to attempt a greater challenge. Use the Invitation in your Map Device to attempt it.

(In hotfix 7) Fixed a bug where your first Maven Invitation for the 10 boss encounter was not guaranteed to drop after collecting 10 bosses. For players who missed this guaranteed drop, it can be obtained by completing any Tier 14+ Map while having 10 or more bosses collected.
