The Elder is a boss that is invading the Atlas, this is part of the 3.1 update War for the Atlas. He randomly spawns and fights via inflence (shaper has a galaxy theme, elder is like tenticles). You finish maps around his influence to make it spread, and finish maps in his influence to remove that part of the spread. This is called influencing.
- Shaper actually helps you in this fight, not as a party member with all his abilities sadly(he would 1 shot the boss) but with unique moves and phase interaction.

The arena is called Absence of Value and Meaning (very edgy indeed, but also very cool)
Fight
Main Key Points
*Elder spawns squids and octopuses that create degen patches on the floor that deal insane physical degen, kill them fast.
- He also spawns tenticles around you that smack the floor randomly and do pretty big damage, called tenticle swarm.
- When he locks you inplace (some sort of cage) you will have a small moment to escape, (shaper slaps his head and gives you a second to run.
- Many portals will spawn, kill these or keep 1 alive so you can regenerate flaks, these will create the abyss degen.
Abilities
They are kinda hard to see since the fight is entireley black and white (very very grey so in extreme chases you might have to edit your color settings) And they are hard to describe, watching a video might help They all do insane damage except the icicles.
Swipe
- He just swipes you, with like a cleave looking ability, but black.
Tentinticle Swarm
- he stops attacking, but creates small pools of tenticles around you that smack the floor and hurt.
Elder Slap
- His highest damaging move, Elder slowly channels (his hands will flicker) and slaps his hands together, aka the "Elder Slap" and can 1 shot most builds
Icicles
- He channels for about half a second and releases Icicles and they grow as they travel, usually its three, but can go upto 6, not always at once, sometimes in squads.
Succ Trap
- Elder comes near you and creates an arc about 170 degrees about double meele range and slows you, can lock you inplace, Shaper teleports behind him and hits him, this will free you for 1 second so use a movemnt skill.
- His animation is his arms sucking winds from you
Aoe Donut
- Elder creates a donut(its darker) on the floor that grows steadily, stay inside the hole with him, or else you will be slowed and degen hp massively.
Elder Rain
- He does a cinderella spin and released many projectiles in a circle, they dont go very far thankfully.
Exclusive drops
The Elder drops elder influenced items that can be valuable.
