Tempest league was a challenge league that ran concurrently with Warbands league. Tempest league used the hardcore rules for character death, while Warbands league used standard rules.[1] Both leagues launched on July 10, 2015 as part of Path of Exile: The Awakening in version 2.0.0. Both leagues ended on October 2, 2015.[2]

This league introduced Tempests. These can cause a variety of effects that influence both monsters and players, such as changing their sizes, causing damage, altering drop rates or automatically animating weapons that drop. It was possible to see the current affected areas on the World Screen.

Ladder

Tempest league had the Hardcore (HC) game mode always enabled.

Players all played on the same ladder: Tempest league

Items

These unique items are exclusive to the Tempest league.[3] After the league ended, they could formerly be acquired by using Zana crafted Tempest modifier, as well as through divination cards and other generic drop sources of league-specific item.
