Beyond league was a challenge league that ran concurrently with Rampage league. Beyond league used the hardcore rules for character death, while Rampage league used standard rules. Both leagues launched on August 20, 2014 as part of Path of Exile: Forsaken Masters in version 1.2.0. Both leagues ended on November 20, 2014.

Overview

Players in the Beyond League had to deal with a race of extradimensional demons invading Wraeclast. When you killed monsters in close proximity to one another, small portals started to open; when you got enough of those open together, and a larger portal opened up, spawning more powerful monsters. If those happened close together, an even larger portal opened up, complete with a unique boss that was designed to be extremely difficult to kill.

Items

These unique items are/were specific to Beyond league. After the league end, they can be acquired by using Zana crafted Beyond modifier, some divination cards, as well as other generic sources of league-specific item.
