Beyond league

Beyond league was a challenge league that ran concurrently with Rampage league. Beyond league used the hardcore rules for character death, while Rampage league used standard rules.[1] Both leagues launched on August 20, 2014 as part of Path of Exile: Forsaken Masters in version 1.2.0. Both leagues ended on November 20, 2014.
Overview
Players in the Beyond League had to deal with a race of extradimensional demons invading Wraeclast. When you killed monsters in close proximity to one another, small portals started to open; when you got enough of those open together, and a larger portal opened up, more powerful monsters would spawn. If those happened close together, an even larger portal opened up, complete with a unique boss that was designed to be extremely difficult to kill.

Items
These unique items are/were specific to Beyond league.[2] After the league end, they can be acquired by some divination cards, as well as other generic sources of league-specific item. They were added to the core drop table since version 3.14.0.

Challenges
The Rampage and Beyond leagues included 8 optional challenges. Some of them were specific to either league. 113 players completed all eight challenges and the first 50 players received an exclusive Rampage/Beyond t-shirt.[3]
