Champion
Champion that which you love. He who fights for nothing dies for nothing.
This page is about the Ascendancy class. For the Ascendant passive, see Champion (Ascendant passive).

The Champion is an Ascendancy class for Duelists.

Overview

The Champion is both an offence and defence oriented class, with particular support capabilities which can make him act as a boon or a tank for his allies. The Champion Ascendancy offers support for Banner skills, Auras, intimidate, Adrenaline, ailment removal, Fortification, taunts, and impales. Furthermore, all of his minor passives grant increased evasion rating and armour, bolstering his defence.

Inspirational enhances your Banner and Aura skills, and allows you to use Banners at no reservation cost. First to Strike, Last to Fall makes enemies more vulnerable through the use of intimidate, and also allows the Champion to buff himself significantly through the use of Adrenaline should the player be at death's door. Unstoppable Hero grants more offensive and defensive buffs when having Fortification, and works well along with Fortitude, as it makes you permanently have Fortification. The Conqueror and Worthy Foe notables amplify your taunts greatly: the Conqueror reduces damage taken for both the Champion and his allies, and the Worthy Foe makes enemies more vulnerable by stripping their evasion and increasing damage taken. Master of Metal intensifies your impales, and grants buffs to you and your allies based on impaling.
