Tornado Shot is a bowattackskill which fires a piercing shot that releases projectiles in all directions when it reaches the targeted location. The secondary projectiles fade over time.

Secondary projectiles: Each primary arrow creates a set of 3 secondary projectiles, fired in random directions. One secondary projectile per set can collide with the same enemy.
Projectile behaviors: Primary projectiles can Split, Pierce, and Return, they cannot Fork or Chain due to Pierce's priority. Secondary projectiles can Pierce, Fork, or Chain.
Secondary projectiles may fail to Fork if not created inside or very near to an enemy.[1]
Travel distance: Because Tornado Shots secondary arrows are a continuation of the original projectile (like all projectile behaviors), distance traveled for the purposes of Point Blank and Far Shot includes the distance traveled by both the primary and secondary projectile.[2] This means that targets immediately next to the explosion of a primary arrow do not necessarily take Point Blank's full damage bonus from a secondary arrow.
Projectile speed: Projectile speed will increase the distance that the secondary projectiles travel before disappearing, effectively increasing their range.

Now has an Attack Speed Multiplier of 80% of base (previously 100%), and now uses the same bow animation as the Puncture Skill Gem. It now has a Mana Cost of 10 at gem level 1 (previously 8), scaling up to 12 at gem level 20 (previously 10). Quality now provides 0-40% increased Projectile Speed instead of "Fires +0-1 secondary Projectile".
Quality now causes the skill to Fire +0-1 secondary Projectile, instead of providing 0-20% increased Projectile Damage.
Alternate quality gems, labyrinth helmet enchantments and unique threshold jewels are all systems that were trying to subtly modify the behaviour of skills. With this expansion these have been combined into a new system called Transfigured Gems that allows us to fully achieve the goal of these three systems, and then some.
Transfigured Gems are alternate versions of existing skill gems that have different functionality and balance than their regular versions. We have added many of these, with interesting variations that drastically change how existing skills play.
Anomalous, Divergent and Phantasmal Quality Gems have been removed from the game. Existing alternate Quality Gems now have the base Quality effect found on the respective Gem.
The secondary projectiles now fade over time, similar to Freezing Pulse, but without the gradual damage drop-off. In other words, the secondary projectiles will have a shorter range by default, but can be increased by increasing the skill's Projectile Speed.
The Labyrinth Helmet Enchantment for Tornado Shot which added additional secondary projectiles is now exclusively available from the Eternal Labyrinth, and now only adds one additional secondary projectile. Existing items with this enchantment are unaffected.
